A couple of weeks ago was given the opportunity to help Abigail Willis Cameron with her shoot for her debut collection 'ALL SORTZ'.
Her ‘23 collection ALL SORTZ’ is filled with quirky and elegant garments made up of hand gathered ruffles, ostrich feather trims and finished with beautiful bows.
To start the day we got to Farnborough train station. From here we got the train to Waterloo train station in London. As we were carrying large suitcases Abigail booked taxis to take us to the studio.

When we got to the studio the team unloaded all the suitcases. I began by organising all of the drinks and food in the fridge, as well as all the shoes ready for the models to wear.

Once that was done me and Esther steamed all the garments to take all the creases and fold lines out. When doing this we worked well as a team as I would steam the fabrics which were steamable and Esther used a iron to press all the creases which didn't come out with the steamer. This also worked well as there are large strips of fabric which meant we could iron them whilst steaming the rest of the garment.

Once all the garments were steamed, we helped Abigail with her shoot. I found this really inspiring as it gave me an insight into what it is like at professional shoots for collections. Whilst the day was taking place, we were given polaroid cameras to allow us to take aesthetic backstage pictures.

I had a great day as Abigail and the team were so friendly as well as well as it was great to create connections and bonds with the models
This day also inspired me hugely as Abigail as an ex-student from my course. This made me see it is possible to get into the industry from this course.
