Top project - making my collar

To start with I looked at the collar on my fashion flat and tried to recreate this.

To do this i cut up a strip of calico and pinned it where i wanted my neckline. i then cut down lines around the areas where i wanted to add shape.

When I opened out these sections I added a piece of scrap calico when i was happy with how the collar was sitting.

In this picture above i put a bodice underneath so that i was able to make on the pattern where i would cut the neckline to.

After that i traced my fabric pattern i made onto pattern paper and added 1.5 cm seam allowance.
