This is the design for my final garment which I am toiling for.

To begin i focused on the right, rounded leg. To start with I made a pattern where i make the panels on the side thicker.

From the toile I realised the bottom part of the trouser would be too big to be sewn to the top part of the trouser.
I then made a toile where I decided to make the sides into the panels at a vanishing point this is my design and toile below.

i wasnt happy with this toile as it was not as three dimensional as i wanted. To improve this i didn't want the panels to meet at a vanishing point.
This is my design and toile.

This toile was where i experimented with different fabrics and i am much happier with the pattern of this toile. Next time i need to try different interfacings and types of boning. i added plastic boning however i found it coiled which meant the shape wasn't held properly.
This is my final toile.

I am really happy with how this design worked. i like how the patchwork turned out and how the curved shape looks with heavyweight interfacing, i need to try this design with metal boning, however i am happy with the pattern and i am going to use it going forward with my final garment.
I also like how the bottom of the top matches the angle of the top of the waistband, however i need to focus on making the top pattern better and how the straps will look.
