Still life photography

In photography with holly we were put into groups of three. we were then given random objects and a artist as well as a word to recreate.

i was paired with Maddy and Florence. we were given a pair of plastic gloves and tinted transparent pvc . The artist which inspired our shoot was Scheltens & Abbenes and the theme was 'chaos and layers'.

We started by picking our extra objects. we chose a broken mannequin as we realised it could give the illusion of being folded like the garments in Scheltens & Abbenes', we also picked lots of different/ random colours of threads and finally we picked up a plain material for the background.

we lay the mannequin on the dark material then unravelled the threads over the top to create layers.

After not liking how the photos were turning out we decided we needed to add more layers. To do this we got transparent cling film and held this in different ways over the camera, we also unravelled more threads to make the image feel more chaotic.

All of these images were shot from a birdseye view to reflect the artist.
