Shirring

In Sams lesson we explored the fabric manipulation technique shirring .

This is where the thread in the bobbin is wound with elastic. This gathers the fabric in the pattern it is stitched.

Here are some of my results.

I like how depth and texture is created whilst being in the desired pattern.
