manipulating different materials

Today we began by looking at different ways to maniplate paper

- pleat

- scrunch

- fold

- rotate

-weave

- gather

- roll

Then i explored different ways i can manipulate fabric.

- darts

- weaving

- pleating

- heat manipulation

- sheering

- gathering

can you do to paper what you do with fabric?

i think you can to a extent. you can manipulate both of them, however heat may need to be applied to fabric for folds to hold unlike with paper, as well as fabric will mold to the body much more easily and effectively than paper.

In preparation for my paper garment i have done some different experiments.
