Heat set manipulation

Here I wanted to explore ways I could set fabric using heat.

This is one of the photography students work . I really like the outcome this created as it is interesting to look at and forms a interesting texture .

I used a book called complete pleats by Paul Jackson. I found the folds didn't fold together completely like in shibori meaning I put a stitch through the folds and pulled it as tight as possible.

I then put this in the steamer. This is my result. Going forward I toile explore tying it tighter to create a bolder and more eye catching outcome.
