Heat manipulation

Another way i looked into manipulating my fabric was to use a heat gun to melt fabric.

I know only synthetic materials melt therefore i looked into how different synthetic materials react to this heat.

I wanted to look into how i can make this technique inspired by fragile earth

To do this i tied my material around a large marbel and applied the heat. I then let it cool fully before cutting the thread tie.

This is my result

Overall i am really happy with how these came out.

i really like the grey toned fabric as the shape created is much bolder. i like the idea of the transparent netting, however i found the netting broke when i tried to take the marble out.
