Evaluation of final skirt.

Overall I am happy with how this skirt turned out as it reflects my initial idea well.

I am also much happier with how it has turned out compared to my first twile.

I really like the use of the onion dye to make the design on the fabric as it reflects the idea of a onion well, not only that but in my liberty’s skirts research there was a lot of tie dyed fabric.

I like how the drawstring details turned out as it looks how I wanted It too.

however, I did not have time to quilt the pencil skirt underneath which means it is plain and not very eye catching at all.

I Decided to finish the yoke using ‘stitch in the ditch’ I am really unhappy with how this was finished as it was very messy As the stitching was not even. Next time I would fix this my making sure the back side is pressed exactly a few mm bigger than the front but by the exact same amount the whole way.

I also am unhappy with how the buttonholes were finished as they were not as neat as I wanted. Next time I would spend more time making these more accurate as well as finally I forgot to add the fcot tag.

Overall I like the final outcome as it represents Libertys well through the print and fabric finish as well as the drawstring waistband. Next time I would make sure to spend more time on making the last details more accurate, subsequently making the skirt more aethstetically pleasing.
